Tall tamarack trees stand on the ridge, blanketed in fresh powder snow. Vibrant forested valleys are stilled after the snowfall. You listen and everything is quiet, very quiet. Snowbirds tease the trees for seeds and skip from limb to limb until they reach their tasty treats. You take a deep breath, and the mountain air is fresh, healthy, and exhilarating. Slow and steady, the river moves under the snow and finds it's way down to Lake Pend Oreille in pristine North Idaho. As autumn changes it escorts us into a joyful time of year when nature itself whispers, "It's Christmas time." Echoing gently through the backwoods a quiet banjo recites timeless melodies that reflect the message of the season, always proclaiming peace, always hoping. Pausing for the moment, with hearts full of thankfulness, we wish you a Merry Christmas.
