We moved from music city (L.A.) to North Idaho and settled in the mountains near Sandpoint, Idaho. Young and seeking adventure, we hand built a small log cabin and lived there for six years without electricity! Wow, what an experience! Leaving 15 million people (with all the pollution) and winding up at the end of the road, lost in the tracks of mother nature’s scenery. The closest neighbor was a half mile away and our new friends in the forest were moose, bear, deer, and all the birds (eagle, osprey, heron, chickadees, blue jays and more). The cool mountain air is fresh, clean, and healthy.
Writing songs came easily while sitting in the meadow, surrounded by wild flowers in bloom, spellbound by clear blue skies and at night the Northern Lights. Here our lives were changed forever, here we were converted. God spoke to us through the tall whispering tamarack trees, the long quiet snowfalls, the real world display of natural beauty. Peace is the message, be at “peace”. The same can happen to you once off the pavement. Come see us sometime. No preaching, we let the wind sing to your heart, the clean air will renew your faith, the spirit of the mountains will lift your thoughts home.
